Compression garments are used for the treatment of lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), leg swelling and post surgical vein treatments.

Compression garments generally consist of a high content (baout 85%) of elastic (lycra) fibers and a lower percent of nylon (about 15%). Compression garments are manufactured for the legs, torso and arms. Compression garments are generally manufactured in knee high, thigh high and panty hose for the legs. Arm compression garments are becoming more popular.
